What The Customer Wanted:
Schenck Price in Florham Park needed a custom cut glass top fabricated and installed on their large conference room table. The had invested a lot of money in having this table refinished so they wanted a glass top to help preserve their investment.
What We Did:
- Went onsite to take measurements
- Created a 2-piece precise paper template of the table top
- Ordered 1/4″ low iron clear sheets of glass from our supplier
- Performed the tracing process from the paper template to the glass
- Scribed, cut, and polished the two pieces of glass all by hand
- Transported the finished glass back to our supplier to have them temper the glass in their oven for strength and safety
- Worked with Schenck Price to schedule the installation
- Assigned a 4-man team to perform the installation due to its size and weight
- Installed a vinyl seal between both pieces of glass for safety purposes
The Result:
The finished product is exquisite and Schenck Price could not be happier with how it all came out.
